This Privacy Policy explains how TantraLovers handles personal information when you browse our website, create a community account, use Conscious Connections, explore teachers, courses and events, or contact us. Read it alongside our Terms & Conditions and Cookie Policy.
1. Who is responsible for your information
TantraLovers is operated by Skeyemap, s.r.o., Žuffova 1099/49, 031 01 Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia. Company identification number (IČO): 46229752; Commercial Register, section Sro, file 77337/L. Skeyemap, s.r.o. is the controller responsible for the personal information described here. For privacy questions or requests, email info@tantralovers.org or write to our registered address.
2. Information we collect and use
- Account and profile information: email address, username, authentication information, name, gender, birthday, country, city, profile photographs and introductions you provide. Required fields are identified in the relevant form; optional details can be left blank.
- Community and learning activity: posts, comments, group participation, uploaded content, messages and attachments, and information needed to provide available communication and course features.
- Membership and transactions: your plan, membership status, purchases, transaction references and information needed to administer payments. Payment credentials are handled by the payment provider used at checkout; we do not ask you to send card details by email or in community messages.
- Contact and newsletter information: your name, email, enquiries, correspondence and subscription choices. Email campaigns can generate delivery, open and link-interaction information used to understand engagement.
- Technical and security information: IP address, device and browser information, security and anti-spam signals, and information about visits and interactions collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Social sign-in: if you choose Google or Facebook sign-in, the information made available by that provider under the permissions shown during sign-in, such as identity, email and profile information.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, we use information to provide your account, membership, communication and requested learning features on the basis of our contract with you. We rely on legitimate interests in running a secure service, preventing spam and abuse, handling enquiries and protecting legal rights, balanced against your rights. We retain records required by law on the basis of our legal obligations. Optional newsletters and processing that requires consent, including relevant cookie-based analytics or advertising, rely on that consent. Accepting the Terms is not consent to optional marketing or cookies.
If you do not provide information necessary for an account or purchase, we may be unable to provide that feature. You can browse information pages without completing a community profile.
4. Profile visibility, sensitive information and messages
Do not assume that everything on TantraLovers is private. Teacher listings, articles and public contributions can be visible to visitors and search engines. Profile-field visibility depends on site settings and the controls available for that field. Some fields have a fixed audience that members cannot change; the current birthday field is configured with an “Everyone” audience. Other content may be visible to members, friends, group participants or the public depending on the feature.
Review your profile and available visibility options before posting. Share only what you are comfortable making available to the relevant audience. Anyone who can view material may copy or share it, and privacy controls cannot prevent every onward disclosure.
Messages are intended for their recipients and are processed through our messaging system and supporting infrastructure. Do not assume they are end-to-end encrypted or inaccessible to the service operator. Authorised administrative access may be needed to provide support, investigate reports, protect the service or comply with law. Recipients may retain or share their own copies.
Conversations about Tantra, intimacy and spirituality can reveal sensitive information, including health, sex life, sexual orientation or religious beliefs. Our standard profile fields do not require you to describe these matters. Avoid sharing them, especially in public areas, unless you understand the implications. Do not disclose another person’s sensitive information without a lawful basis. If you explicitly make special-category information public, the GDPR’s manifestly-public exception may apply to that public disclosure; it does not automatically authorise unrelated uses or apply to private messages. Contact us if you need sensitive material removed.
5. Recipients and external services
Other people can access information according to the audience of your contributions and the relevant settings. Suppliers supporting hosting, website administration, email delivery, payments, analytics, advertising, messaging and security process information needed for those functions. Services used on the website include Google Analytics and Google advertising technologies, Stripe payment integration, Google/Facebook sign-in, and CleanTalk anti-spam protection. The provider selected for a purchase is identified in the payment flow; where PayPal is offered, its own notice also applies. Our community, newsletter and messaging tools also process information as described above.
We may disclose information when legally required or when necessary and lawful to investigate abuse or protect legal rights. We do not sell community profile information to course providers. External teachers, courses, event organisers, advertisers and affiliate websites operate under their own notices. Following an external link can disclose technical information and a referral identifier to the destination; it does not itself authorise us to send your entire community profile.
6. International processing
The community is international, and external providers or recipients may process information outside Slovakia or the European Economic Area. Transfers subject to the GDPR must have an appropriate legal basis and safeguards, such as an applicable adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses with any necessary additional measures. Contact us for information about the recipients, destinations and safeguards applicable to your information, or to request a copy of relevant safeguards. External services’ notices describe their own processing and transfer arrangements.
7. Retention and account closure
We keep information only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it is held. Account and membership information is needed while providing your account and administering your purchases. Financial records are kept for the statutory accounting and tax periods. Enquiries, security records and moderation evidence are retained according to the time needed to resolve the matter, protect the service and address legal claims. Newsletter subscription information is kept while subscribed, with limited suppression information where needed to honour an unsubscribe request.
You can request account closure and deletion at info@tantralovers.org. Deletion is subject to legal retention requirements and any lawful need to resolve disputes. Content already received by other users may remain with those recipients, and backup copies can remain until replaced or expired through the backup cycle. Cancelling subscription renewal and deleting your account are separate requests; specify whether you want one or both.
8. Your choices and rights
Where applicable, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and object to direct marketing at any time. You may withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. These rights are subject to their legal conditions.
Email info@tantralovers.org. We may need proportionate identity verification. Under the GDPR, we normally respond within one month; if a lawful extension is needed, we will explain it. Use the unsubscribe link in newsletter emails to stop that subscription. Browser or device settings control notification permissions.
You may complain to a supervisory authority, including the authority where you live or work. Our Slovak supervisory authority is the Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky, Galvaniho 7/B, 821 04 Bratislava, Slovakia.
9. Security and children
We use technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no online system guarantees absolute security. Use a strong, unique password and report suspected unauthorised access promptly. Accounts and community features are for adults aged at least 18 and, where higher, the age of legal majority. Contact us if you believe a minor has supplied personal information so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
10. Changes and contact
We date revisions on this page and provide additional notice of material changes where required. Privacy enquiries: info@tantralovers.org.
